Hee, you called cartoons "realistic". I don't call ignorance based assumptions realistic with or without quotation marks. That's a slippery slope.
I acknowledge the need to not publish doctoral dissertations on (bio)/(materials) mechanics, but lets not go too far the other way into cartoons In gurps the writers call it heroic average and likely consider heroic realistic rather than out and out cartoonish the base. The DF line, of course, can get away with some less realistic ruling. But my level of disbelief shatters at non-magical giants wielding tree trunks and the like as clubs. Wait, what was the topic again? I got lost a bit too. :) |
