Default Phase 0

Rules say For a faster game, you can add a “phase 0” called Listen
At The Door. At the start of your turn, draw a face-down
Door card, which you may play or not. Then arrange cards
and Kick Open The Door normally. If you Loot The
Room, draw a face-down Treasure, not a Door.

Was alittle confused by this so want to know on the facedown you pick up can you only play it if its a curse or if it is a monster can you fight it?

Also if you fight the monster do you still kick open the door after that?

Also what does it mean by then arrange the cards? Is it talking about the cards you have in your hand and the one you picked up?

Are the rules the same for an epic game or are they changed some?

You cannot fight a monster before kicking open the door.

No, it means the cards in play, if you need to equip or unequip Items, sell some Items, discard a Class and play a new one, or whatever.

That will be addressed in the forthcoming revision to the Epic rules.

Lets see, that would be the stack of papers, under the box of soon to be made boosters, under the box of proof sheets, under the Cherry Coke, under the note pads of ideas, under...(the plans to take over the world).

Andrew, have you thought about not working a 10 hour day?

It's Cherry Coke Zero, which is my sole concession right now to a healthy diet.

Actually, the Epic rules are pretty close to bubbling to the top of my list. Got to finish a couple of other things first, but most of the 2011 stuff is puttering along pretty nicely.

Many, many times, but they get annoyed when I start working 12.
