Munchkin Mask question

Can I use the Munchkin Mask to cancel curses that I get from kicking open the door, or does it only work on curses from other players?

Since there is nothing in the rules for the Mask about who plays the Curse or Trap, it works on any Curse or Trap regardless of the source.
