There are quite a few cards that got reworded for the 19th printing of Fantasy. There are also little cards here and there in other sets. If you own all the sets, you can buy GUAL and replace the old cards with the new ones. Pretty much it.

If you own any set, you can update it with this, but since the OP is talking about fantasy Munchkin, that's the set that will get the most out of GUAL, if you want to get an "old" set up to speed with the newest printing's rules.

And if you're annoyed about buying cards for the games you don't have, you can:
1) Buy those games too, 2) Give the extra cards away to the nice people on this forum who can use them, or, 3) Put them on eBay and make a little money from people who have the old versions of the games and want the reprinted cards. But from what I've gathered, around half of the cards in GUAL are for standard Fantasy Munchkin, in the two tone parchment and sepia, and are a good investment if you have Fantasy Munchkin and all the supplements. If it's just reprints of cards I already have, I think I'll just pass on this one and get Marked For Death instead.

The name and the art is the same. The card text is different (in some cases, completely different).

Do you have the original sets?
Do you want to play with the Updated rules? Do you want to use the updated cards? Then you need "Go Up A Level". Not available in all states. Some restrictions apply. Void where prohibited. |
