The White Pirogue (TL5)
This was one of Lewis and Clark's supporting boats on their exploration of the Ohio River. It carried 8 Frenchmen. There were two pintles on the bow of the boat to hold blunderbusses in case of attack. Subassemblies: Body +4 with Mediocre lines, one 14' Mast -3. Powertrain: 79 sf of Cloth Sails and/or 6 Rowing Stations. Occupancy: 8 (6 oarsmen, 1 helmsman, 1 bowman). Cargo: 8 tons. Armor: 2/2W overall Body: Navigation instruments, ragtop over rear three seats, 2 pintles in bow. Statistics: Size: 39'x8.6'x14' Payload: 8.8 tons Lwt.: 12.4 tons Volume: 705 cf.
