Default Regrowth and Lasting Crippling Injuries?

What is the effect of Regrowth on lasting crippling injuries?

With Regeneration, even some permanent injuries (the results of dismemberment) are reversed when you heal to full HP, so I feel like it's safe to assume that this combination applies to lasting and non-dismemberment-permanent crippling injuries as well... right? Unless there are official rulings that say otherwise.

And without Regeneration? Does Regrowth do anything to the duration of lasting injuries? It seems like it should reduce their status to temporary, since it's sort of reducing the permanent to generally better than lasting.

Assuming that Regrowth does do something positive for lasting crippling injuries, what should the value of the limitation "Lasting Injuries Only" be (I'm assuming high)? And what about "No Regrowth" (as in, it improves lasting injury recovery and also any permanent crippling injury that is not the result of dismemberment)?

You may want to look at 'injury tolerance: Indestructible skeleton' from powers- since that basically does what your asking for; it costs 5 points.

Someone who has regrowth NEVER suffers a crippling injury (Worst case, if they don't like how it healed, they can cut it off and grow a new one). I would say that a non-severed limb always healing to a non-crippled state is just a special feature (1 point perk) for someone who has regrowth (just so that they don't have to sever their limb to assure a good regrowth).

If you had Regrowth (Reattachment, +50%) you would use it's healing rate of seconds rather normal healing rate

Regrowth is probably overpriced as it is. You could justify saying that once you get back to full HP (by any means) all crippling is healed and all limbs are regrown.

I've contended a few times that Regrowth should heal all crippling injuries. Certainly, for the RAW cost, it is not a big stretch.

IT: Unbreakable Bones only prevents permanent crippling injuries and dismemberment of any kind. It still allows for lasting and temporary crippling injuries (due to muscle and tendon damage and the like, although it does make those harder too). That raises a question though... what should Total Immunity to All Crippling Injuries be (including lasting and temporary)?

See, as written it implies you're right. But Regrowth is grossly overpriced if it actually would force you to hack stuff off to avoid the waiting time to heal lasting crippling injuries (and some injuries, such as to the spine, can't exactly be improved this way...). Even RPK's revised [10] cost still seems a bit much if it doesn't automatically deal with any kind of lasting or permanent injury (not just the ones due to dismemberment.

I'm also forced to ask... are they any thoughts on what sort of Will roll penalty should be enforced before someone could just willy nilly decide to lop off one of their own limbs or extremities (even if they had Regrowth)? HPT and LPT should improve or worsen that penalty. And I guess you could always take pain killers and drink, or even ask your buddies to do it for you...

Straight will roll, +4 for HPT, -4 for LPT. If you know what your doing is in your own best interests, and won't have any lasting problems then the only issue to get past is the initial pain. Being that there are plenty of anecdotal stories about lumberjacks trapped under trees eventually removing a limb with nothing more then a pair of pliers in order to escape someone who knows it will grow back does not need the TDM bonus for 'do this or die' to succeed on this roll.
