I'm making a file for armor for GCS, and wanted to know what the name of each piece of armor would be at a given location. Say, we call shin armor greaves; what do we call a piece of armor on the whole torso, say?

If it is maille, a haubergeon or a mail shirt, perhaps.
If it is plate, it is not going to be a single piece.

I tend to use "cuirass" if it is rigid (plate, r.leather) and "corselet" if it is flexible (scale, etc). Mail is "hauberk" if it is knee length and "haubergeon" (little hauberk) if it is shorter.
