Anyone got any suggestions for paper minis? I've used dice or pennies since forever, but I'd like to upgrade to something a little flashier. I'm thinking I'm gonna pick up all the cardboard heroes stuff for fantasy, but does anyone have some suggestions for a company that does a bunch of genres? In particular I'm interested in ones that do modern-day, westerns, and pulp heroes and antagonists. Extra bonus points if there's someone who does good monsters for ~WWII-era hellboy-style pulp.
Oh, and also extra points if it's cartoon-y rather than bad poser art. Frex, Paper Miniatures on e23 looks awesome for breadth of coverage and price, but the art seems somewhat hit or miss. Are there any other companies that cover such a broad range of genres? Last edited by Crakkerjakk; 01-04-2011 at 11:11 PM. |

I had some instructions somewhere for do-it-yourself paper minis...I'll check my archives and see if I can find them.

I make my own most of the time. Its pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it, you save a boatload of money and can finally have all the horde creatures you need.

Take a look at Wargame Vault: http://www.wargamevault.com/
It, and RPG Shop, have lots and lots of downloadable minis. Little, if any, are free, but they are inexpensive. |

For Old West buildings, Whitewash City is pretty good and cheap.
Kenzer & Company had a whole town set up for their Aces & Eights western game using them. They can be printed in black and white or color. I used just the maps on my computer when running my campaign. Some free samples are found here: http://www.erichotz.com/white_free.html

Other than that, I second the suggestion to search wargamevault.
