I ("advanced") searched and looked through a few pages, the faq and the rules.
Not that I have had much problem around the discarding, but upon reading another topic I started to wonder. I know all are discarded at the end of the combat, but in what order is "correct" or are there no correct order, just the order a player pick up the cards and place them into the discards... I found no specific rules on what order to discard on in some situations: Scenario 1, One or more enhancers is played on a monster. (win or lose) - Does the enhancers go before or after the monster into the discard pile? - Does potions played on the player(s) get discarded before of after... Scenario 2, Player loses against 2 or more monsters. - Does the monster you run away from first go into the discard pile first?

The general and most fair rule that is commonly followed is the player whose turn it is chooses the order of discards of one-shots, monsters, enhancers, or other cards played that affected the combat that affect the combat bonus on either side. Any cards discarded to power an ability are instant discards along with anything that forces a discard as an instant effect(such as some curses that force a discard).
I am probably missing a few scenarios that qualify as discard or not, but generally the player whose turn it is decides the order of combat affected cards discarded. |

The official ruling is that the player whose turn it is discards in whatever order he feels like.

This is both an elegant and an important ruling. I played in a charity tournament recently, and the guy immediately before me kept encountering little wimpy monsters he could defeat for a level. Thankfully, I was a cleric, and I kept resurrecting them to defeat for a level myself. I think I gained four levels that way before people started really paying attention and burying the wimpy monster under something (ANYTHING) to keep me from doing it. There's also a certain level of poker face you need to develop when you can manipulate discards. You have to pay attention to what's there on the top, but not so obviously that someone else realizes what you are doing and covers it up for you.
