Exmples needed: rise of a Corporate State (Enterprise) from low-tech to TL9

Greetings, all!

I'm looking at the entries of the GURPS government/society types, and I'm finding them unsatisfactory and short. I also vaguely remember some book describing them in (slightly more detail). Either way, I'm looking toward an example of such a society growing up from relatively low tech up to TL9 (after which it should probably not change much).

Some specifics that should be addressed before discussing this topic:

• Please, no eutopian/dystopian examples.
• I'm talking about what the other book called the Enterprise subtype of Corporate State. Notably, monopolies are harshly and efficiently persecuted in this state (or else it would fall into a different category).
• Please do not focus too much coup d'états and subjugation (especially successful ones!) - any kind of government can suffer from them; this thread is for discussing a CS that lasts.
• While every government type has its disadvantages, please refrain from turning them into 'ur socitie iz teh suxxorz'. Criticism should be constructive. Also, see above about dystopian examples.
• Also, do not turn it into a political thread, and do not try to talk about how some other society type is absolutely better. That would be off-topic.

So, anybody has any such examples to share?

The kind that jump most readily as historic example would be colonies administered by the various India companies. A coal mining town where everyone is paid in script might count as well.

I'm not sure we know what you're talking about, do you have anything which exists in the real world in mind?

Because I'm not aware of any existing "Corporate States", so you need to define your terms.

The term comes from 4ed Basic Set page 509, and some earlier books (I have a vague memory of Space or the like having a word to say about it. I also have a suspicion that THS assigns Duncanites some version of this society type, though I do not know for sure.

That's a fictional term, it can be used for things like an extrapolation of the Robocop setting in Detroit if the current government were to fall and everyone were to become an employee of the company running the city state.

There are no examples of anything like a Corporate State in reality, it's a fantasy setting.

The New City stats, CRs, Legislative, Judicial, Executive, Military, and other Branch summaries. Any Template to draw from then extrapolate or modify.

Well, possible CRs are listed in Basic. The rest is what I'm looking for.
