Default The Big Announcement

Color Munchkin is coming to a store near you!

This revision (including tweaks to the whole line) is the culmination of over a year of work. I am thrilled that I can finally talk about it. I can't reveal everything yet, but I'll talk about what I can.

My most sincere thanks to all of you for making this possible.

Very Cool Andrew. Can't wait to add this to my collection.

Do we have any idea when the last of 18th edition went out to distro. I know my local is still working on selling 17th so not sure when they will start selling 19th so I can promote it.

There's going to be some overlap in the supply chain, unfortunately. Best suggestion I can offer is to buy all their current stock tomorrow morning so they'll resupply faster.

... what?

This is one of my favorite posts that Andrew has ever done.

I might be a lover of GURPS - but high churn or turnover of MUNCHKIN does help the store I work at stay in business.

It happens in spurts, but our MUNCHKIN sales aqre pretty darn good. Its hard to keep the basic biege box one in stock. It usually sells out within 48 hours of being re-stocked.

I've read through this thread, the announcement links provided on TDI and the front page of WoM, watched Andrew's chat, etcetera and haven't come across the answer to this question, but I apologize if I somehow missed it.

With the 19th printing being full color, does that only include the "interior" art of the card, or are the card backs receiving a new treatment as well? I'm just wondering because I snagged the Fairy Dust expansion even though I'm waiting for the 19th printing and am unclear as to whether we'll all know when The Sparkly Good Fairy's door card is next in the deck...

Thanks.

The backs are staying the same.

As awesome as this is, now I have a reason to wait on buying expansions until their color reprints come up, guess WFS and Fairy Dust will have to hold me over for a while.

Hmm.

For those of us who bought the Christmas special edition to get some color Munchkin cards can anyone give any hints what the/any differences might be between those color cards and the new ones?

Thanks.

Andrew, Ok, now I have to figure out what to do with the old sets.... Sheech!

Color, what a novel idea. Now they will match my Munchkin Fu!

Any idea when the new rules sheets will be posted online?

Thank you

Pat
