(sorry hard to draw with text). Image this is the situation, right before movement phase..
space a | player 1 | space b ---------+---------+--------- space c | player 2 | space d ---------+---------+--------- space e | space f | Player 3 ---------+---------+--------- space g | space g | 1 hex monster with Pikeaxe if the monster moves to space f during movement phase... is that considered a 1 space charge? aka does the monster get the "polearm strikes first" since charge on player 2? what the polearm vs Player 1 and striking first? (its understood no extra damage dice) Last edited by DHood64; 03-14-2024 at 09:32 PM. |

Assuming I understand your description of placement, yes, the polearm attack would occur first, since this is a charge attack.

I'd be happy to offer an opinion/advice but don't understand the way you described the setup. Can you re-describe it in more narrative language?

I think you are saying: The monster with the PikeAxe is engaged to player3 and will shift 1 hex to then also be engaged with player2. Your question: Is that a charge?
You may get different opinions on this. ITL pg 111 states, "A charge attack is defined as an attack in which the attacker moves from a non-adjacent hex to a hex adjacent to his target." By this definition, it is a charge and may strike before normal attacks against player2; but is not a charge if he attacks player3. |
