I was wondering if anyone else here has come up with funny character names, whether PC' s or NPC's? I got the idea from an old gamelords module , " Within The Tyrants Demesne" . There was a character there named "Emil Jaggoh" that I thought sounded rather comical. It got me thinking, and now I have few that make me chuckle, so I will share a few, and please share some of yours too!
1) Haxis Heddoff 2) Yule Bededsune 3) Justin Thyme 4) Barry McSwordinchest 5) Watson Treasurechest |

Unless a campaign is meant to be comical, in the vein of Robert Asprin’s MythAdventures or Pratchett’s Discworld, punny names feel out of place. In one silly campaign I played in, I ran a minstrel named Justin Tonation.

One character on an online multiplayer game I named as "Annie Wan".
Mostly I give symbolic names. Quill for a monk. Rune for a section of his name but that he was from a treasonous Elven family plotting to over throw the Elven queen. I had a dwarf pike axe user named "Borg" well before ST/TNG used the name. |

Case was the favored son who didn’t rebel against his parents’ wishes that he should pursue a career in law.

Back in our Classic TFT days, my brother won the award for both the longest and funniest name. It was for a gargoyle. I revived it as an NPC in my current campaign.
Hoondraskneltinskylipell Slofky. 'Hoon' for short. |
