Car Warriors Comic Book - Starts this Month

I just discovered this vintage limited series (published by Marvel's Epic line in 1991) in the $1 vintage comic book section of a local comic book store a few months ago!

It was an enjoyable read, and I really liked that it included game stats for some of the vehicles.

But reading it did underscore how 'times had changed' over the last 30 years: the lead character was latino and the script had other characters use almost every pejorative ethnic term when referring to him.

I thought the series captured an appropriate mix of post apocalypse/sardonic humor/violence, along with some hopelessness. That said, I thought the very end was a little underwhelming.
