So I just picked up this in PDF form and am really enjoying it. But when I saw the Fevered Defense (clever touch, guys!) advantage, I noticed the verbiage is slightly different from its GURPS parent. It implies (to me at least) that you can use it for all your defenses, not just one type. Was that intentional?

It says the bonus applies to a single active defense roll. It matches with Basic set.
You pay 1 FP before rolling defense for +2. Each usage cost 1 FP. |

Actually, no - it doesn't. I'm almost positive it's been mentioned on the forums that Feverish Defense can only be used for one type of Active Defense per turn. Delvers to Grow seems to change this, which is why I'm asking...

DTG page 33:
"...you can spend 1 FP before rolling to get +2 on a single active defense roll. This can be done for any number of rolls, costing 1 FP each." BS page 357: "If you take any maneuver other than All-Out Attack, you can spend 1 FP to get +2 to a single active defense roll...." The only difference is that DTG clarifies you can do that more than once, with each time costing 1 FP. |

The options for new stuff that I include in the various books are always shared with Kromm first, so there's roughly zero chance unless I'm a twit and change something after we agree on verbiage that it'll sneak in undetected and undiscussed. So forums or no, the Basic Set (as zoncxs notes) doesn't say once per turn, it just lays down a few conditions: 1. You have to be able to defend at all (meaning you can't do Feverish Defense on top of All-Out Attack), and 2. You can spend 1 FP to get +2 to a single active defense roll. I think 2 is there to clarify that spending 1 FP doesn't give you +2 to multiple defenses in the case, for example that you're stacking All-Out Defense (Double Defense) with a Feverish Defense. It's only a perk, so the real cost here is the Fatigue, and without Extra Effort in combat like "regular" GURPS, there aren't a lot of good ways for a fighter-type to burn down their FP.

Thanks Doug! I kinda figured you'd checked with Kromm, but I wanted to make sure.
