I can't find any mention of morale in combat in the Basic set, yet I have seen cryptic references to a Morale stat and/or Morale checks on this forum.
Is there a RAW mechanic for NPC morale in combat? Where is it?

Most people use the NPC Reaction chart and just throw various modifiers on the roll.

Yeah, it's mentioned after the NPC reaction table (Basic p. 561):

Probably fair to permit replacing the reaction roll with a Leadership roll (like other influence skills, success is a Good reaction, and it takes the same modifiers as the reaction roll would).

Thanks, all.
