Halfling Scout.

Starting Bow skill of 21 (18 normal + 1 DX + 2 from Halfling Marksmanship). Fast Draw arrow on a 15, You can pretty much be assured to be shooting every turn, hit locations are a given to let you really pack a punch.

The more I think about it the more Halfling Scouts seem really really scary.

You should toss Weapon Bond on there and not forget the Acc bonus from the Longbow.

But, for a more Iconic skill 25 bowman, go Elf Scout.

Skill 19 + Weapon Bond + Forest Guardian 2 = 22

Skill 22 + Longbow Acc = 25.

And Fast-Draw (Arrow) is a 17. Stealth is also higher for the Elf.

Granted the Halfling costs 20 points less and thus can afford 20 more points of Advantages and has 2 levels of Silence already, which some people find very useful.

Yeahg, but everyone expects an Elf Scout. It's like you meet and elf and he's basically going to be a Scout or a Wizard. Maybe a swashbuckler.

But no one expects a halfling Scout until he shoots you in the eye.

Also Halflings cost 0 points so you can really munchkin things up. And they are harder to hit because they are so tiny. :)

(Side note I'm generally going to be running the game not playing it... So it's all moot. Honest.)

That's the real advantage. The Halfling Scout can afford to get Weapon Master and Combat Reflexes (and 5 more points worth of Ads).

The Elf Scout has a hard choice to make.
