In said version of Munchkin the cheat card specifically says, "This item is legal to equip, even if it otherwise would not be." I had the cheat card on the Royal Crown. I was not royalty and I had another head gear. We ruled that the cheat card does not negate both issues with me equipping it. How does the cheat card legally work in this case? The rules were not specific enough.

If there was an item that needed 3 hands, was usable only by females, and couldn't be used by Wizards, and you were a male wizard with your hands full of other stuff, you could STILL equip that item with a Cheat card attached. |

That's what I thought, but "the owner of the game" said otherwise so I differed to his ruling. Glad I know now. Thanks!

Usually, I'm the "Rules Lawyer" for our gaming group, and was asked to make a ruling on this situation. Never even occurred to me to rule it that way since the FAQs (Cheat!) for all Munchkin games states... The Cheat! card allows you to carry (i.e., have in play) and use an Item you normally couldn't due to Class/Race/slot/etc. restrictions. In other words, a second piece of Headgear, a second Big item (for non-Dwarves), an Item that requires a Hand or two when your other two are full, or the Bow With Ribbons for non-Elves. |

http://forums.sjgames.com/showpost.p...22&postcount=4 Check that post out, and note that the "OR"s are inclusive ors. Pay close attention to the last line, as really that's all you need to know. Cheat is not changing one aspect of an item that would make it illegal to equip, it's making an item legal regardless of ANYTHING and any amount of those anythings that would normally make it not legal to equip. |

Just posting to confirm the responses (and to back up what I said in the recent Munchkin 101 thread about this same topic).
(BTW, please don't post the same question in multiple places. It just means we have to try to catch all of them and it runs the risk of splitting the discussion.)

My original thought was needing two Cheat! cards, one to cover the royalty aspect and attached to that piece of headgear, and one to cover wearing two hats, and attached to the other. Never realized that one Cheat! card would cover all restrictions at once. |
