Got this scenario this evening:
Player A kicks open a door: Potted plant level 1 Player B plays mommy a new monster appears of level 11 2 levels 2 treasures Player C uses illusion on the potted plant to make it the wight brothers level 16 my question: is the mommy now a level 26 3 levels 5 treasures? or is the mommy still a level 11 2 levels 2 treasures? |

Yes. This would work the same as Mate with Illusion, for which there are several rulings. And thus the player, assuming they are Level 4 or higher and can't defeat either monster, would also go down a minimum of four Levels even if they escape!

I thought I should point out, Clipper...pluto asked an either...or question, and your response was "yes." It isn't clear to me from your response which one you're saying "yes" to. :P

Although I can vaguely remember a ruling that said that the Level 5 and below was just a condition to playing the card and since it had already been played it can be applied to the new bigger monster.

Sorry for not making it more clear, but I was trying to say that you are fighting the Wight Brothers' Mommy... heh.
I also recall that ruling, tremorlaine. |
