If a fellow munchkin is fighting a monster can I use the wizard's Charm spell to beat for him so he doesn't get a level?

No, the wizard's charm ability can only be used if the wizard is in combat

Yes, you can Charm the Monster. However, the Treasures are the property of the owner of the combat.

The treasure might be the owner's but they still need to be shared as per helping agreement.
