Here is a Run Away question:
A player has the Eagle Steed equipped, which gives a +2 to Run Away, and then applies the Afterburner, which gives an additional +2 to Run Away. He then enters a combat and cannot defeat the Monster. When he rolls to run away, any number will succeed. However, he rolls a 1. If a 1 is rolled, the Afterburner Steed Enhancer card says that the Afterburner catches on fire, and the Munchkin loses his steed. The question is then, does the Munchkin succeed in his Run Away attempt from the Monster and then lose his Steed? Or is the Steed lost and then the Bad Stuff happens? |

I'd say that the escape succeeded and then the steed caught fire and is gone.
