So this came up in some recent gameplay...
If, say, a level 3 Munchkin with the Kneepads of Allure beats down the door and finds the Plutonium Dragon, can that player force a level 6 Munchkin to help for the sole purpose of making that level 6 die? Here's the real question: The Plutonium Dragon will NOT pursue the level 3, but WILL pursue the level 6. If the level 3 has nothing equipped and refuses to use one shots and other abilities, the level 6 helper (say with a combat strength of 12 and no one-shots) is doomed from the beginning. The level 3 isn't using the Kneepads to get help, but just to send another munchkin to his death. Is this legal? Hope that was clear. Not sure if there's already an answer to this somewhere. Couldn't find one. |

It is permissible to use the kneepads to drag someone into the combat with no actual intention of winning. Doing so isn't likely to win you friends however, expect to suffer the consequences for the rest of the game.

Also note that that the enforced Helper still might succeed with his Run Away roll, so it's not a guaranteed Death.

It's more fun to look for trouble with your own King Tut or Wight Brothers while at level 3 or below and drag someone into combat who's at level 4 or higher with the Kneepads of Allure to guarantee something bad happening if you can't win. You can even backstab your own partner if you're the Thief or Mate the monster for extra fun.

OK! Thanks!
We weren't sure. On the one hand it seemed pretty evil, and on the other hand it seemed pretty munchkinly. So basically, "Yeah, you can do it, but expect to make enemies." Makes sense! |

It's my understanding that once you enlist help, you are "in the combat" and now you have to fight the mob and in turn run away since you don't defeat it. You cannot use the "will not pursue anyone under level 3." Am I wrong?
