Player A is fighting the plutonium dragon, and loosing. Before s/he initiates run away player B wanders in a level 1 crabs, stating since they can not be outrun neither can the plutonium dragon! Player A says he only fails against the crabs, because ounce he fails against them there effect goes away, but player B says monster abilities combine until end of combat.
Also if player A can not get away from either monster, and there was another monster could player A choose to die immediately from the dragon, avoiding the bad stuff from crabs and monster #3, or is hit by all three? This also hopes to address monsters like the floating nose, and those who give positives and negatives to run aways. Sorry if this has been addressed, couldn't figure out how to search for it. |

You run away from each monster individually, in the order in which you choose. You suffer the bad stuff for any monster that catches you. If a monster kills you, you automatically escape from any other monsters you've not yet rolled for (they get bored and wander off).

Monsters add their abilities together (such as resistance to fire/flame) during the fight, but not after the fight, while you are Running Away. That is because the rules tell us that you fight the monsters together, but you Run Away from each one separately. If a monster has a Run Away penalty, it only counts while you Run Away from it. Thus, the Crabs will automatically catch you, but you can roll for the Plutonium Dragon, regardless of the order you decide to Run Away from the monsters.
