Given the series focus on interpersonal relatonships it seems likely that Miles and Ekaterin will not live happily ever after from now on. Some affair would seem perfect, since the author describes her plot technique as "What is the wort possible thing I can do to these people?". Of course, the outcome of a literary affair ought to be pregnancy, if only because that complicates things much further.
Now have the mother be unable or unwilling to raise the child herself - will it be accepted into the Vorkosigan household, kept secret?
