Two ideas:
Time travel is possible only to and from points of sufficient energy density. Time travellers walk out of big industrial accidents and explosions… and need more of the same to get home.
The redemption of the universe is bounded by the light cone of the Crucifixion. FTL travel more than e.g. 2100 light years from Earth puts you in the Fallen Zones.
I think I may be running a fever.
