For those interested in placing the Cold Shard Mountains within a broader context, I'll point out that they can hook into the "Wellsprings of Creation" setting in the Pyramid Dungeon Collection. Though, of course, actually capitalizing on that is 100% optional and the PDC/Wellsprings article is not even remotely necessary to make sense of or use CSM.
