Most uplifted animals are uneffected by being uplifted animals. Many are effectively completely new creatures built with animal characteristics, though there are a small number cybernetically modified types which experience atavism. In general, uplifted animals experience some degree of anger against their Human creators, though it is mostly not caused by environmentalism. In fact, many aquatic Uplifts are joyful, as the shelf areas they inhabit are growing (ocean acidification is being offset by GM organisms). However, Uplifts do have an outsized impact in environmental terror groups, including the all-Uplift Gaia's Fury organization, which creates the appearance of overwhelming environmentalism amongst Uplifts.
