There actually seem to be three different classes of thing that could fit here:

(1) You have a social advantage as an ability of a superpower.

(2) You have an ability to affect people's minds or behavior through social interaction rather than psionics, magic, or the like.

(3) Your control of an organization (such as the state) is itself a source of extraordinary abilities.
