No, I wouldn't call it a khopis at all. I believe I saw a style of a kukri grip on it.

I actually suspect that I've seen that exact blade in the A.G. Russell printed paper knife catalog (which I window shop through when one comes in the mail). I can't keep those sorts of catalogs around long (at least without becoming a horder) and my web searches have not been productive for this exact blade. For one thing Russell didn't make it themselves.

At any rate it was described as a kukri of a style more common a century or more ago with a longer blade with a more gradual curve than the shorter and more sharply angled (rather than curved) kukris you're likely to see msot often today.
