Rome, c 130 BCE was the first city to hit 1 Million which puts an interesting slant on things. What would the Roman Empire look c 100 BCE using this system?

IMHO this might be where we might want to focus as empires really mess things up. What would the British Empire of the early 1700s look like using this system? Would it take a total area hit when the Colonies formally break away in 1783?

Would the Total Area of the United States have a mammoth jump if you go from 1802 to 1804? How about 1866 vs 1868 (Alaska purchase)?
