Default Re: Costs Fatigue 4 vs Corrupting

Corrupt Magics on page 147 is a sample corruption system.

The 'Power Corrupts' thing on pages 146-147 talks about designing the corruption system for your campaign, as GM.

Using the Corrupting limitation is an alternative: it says "A simpler method is to use the Corrupting limitation (p. 22)." You're not really expected to use both at once, so this trade-off doesn't really come up.

That said, have Corrupting cost the same as Costs Fatigue, and just apply corruption instead of fatigue, should be balanced if that's the way you want to go. A corruption point is really just 1/25th of a character point, and converting 1 character point to 25 energy is sort of the standard conversion ratio already. Or if you have a corrupt magus with corrupt magical powers, just use Costs Fatigue and Magical limitations, and then let him use corruption to power it. It's fine.
