Vanta is the first to jump. He makes distance between the ramp and himself, then runs forward at an incredible speed (over 95mph) and jumps; sailing over 130 feet in length, his flawless performance sets the gold standard for the rest of the party. The stunt takes him high enough that it looks like time stops for a moment, as the bike hovers, he acquires a clear view of the landing zone: Vanta flies over a barricade manned by a handful of dwellers; given the situation, it seems the men (3) are trying to take out a group of droids (5) that are preventing people from escaping the place. Probably their guns are too small to get the job done, at least immediately. Or maybe they're just a distraction.
The rest of the party follows Vanta, one after another, you all land safely.
You may enter combat or keep going. Thanks to Vanta's critical success, this’d be a surprise round in your favor, everybody is confused (except you):
- You’ve landed on the side of the dwellers, behind their barricade. The dwellers are about 10 yards away from you, the bikes would be the only thing standing between you and them.
- On the other hand, the enemy droids are about 12 yards away from you. They are partially covered by debris and smoke, the droids are not advancing, but they’re attacking anything that moves (so to speak).
