This was their very first game. I can see where it would be a turnoff for a player if he felt like everyone was gunning for him.

Well quite often him and I will to some extent team up against my girlfriend for arbitrary reasons at the beginning of the game, so it was a little petulant of him when it happened to him instead, I think it was more the fact that he had transferred a mated shadow nose to my girlfriend after putting two -5s on them so he could have actually beaten them, but because he had thought it was 13 not 11 he wanted to undo it so he could fight them after all, we relented and said ok, but you have to discard the transferral potion, a wandering monster still stopped him beating them though, followed by the stacked combat against him and then my contesting his treasures he felt like I was going beyond the game to screw him over. I'm sure he'll be fine by the next time we play though ^_^

Sorry, it wasn't clear, it was out first time with Munchkin 2, we generally play a couple of games every other night for the past few weeks :)

Yeah, I can see that. However, it's part of the game, and the players at our table understand that, and even enjoy that part of it. The guy who sits next to me actually enjoys dying, if you can believe it :) So, when I said "lighten up," I meant try not to take it personally; and if you do have to take it personally, try to see it as, "Everyone is gunning for me because I'm so powerful and awesome," and take it as a compliment :)
