mine layer
Another shower idea, written up before playtest or research. ;)
A mine layer is a piece of optional equipment, that adds 1 to the armor or infantry cost of any mobile unit. A unit with a mine layer can forego its movement for one turn, to lay a mine rated at the unit's movement. The mine attacks the next unit to pass into the hex, at strength rating-to-1. For example, a player spends 4 infantry points on a 3/1 infantry, with movement 2, and a mine layer. On every other turn, the player may halt this infantry for a turn, to lay a row of mines up to two hexes apart. The first other unit to enter any of these mined hexes suffers a 2-1 attack, which removes the mine (whether the attack was successful or not). |
