Sex Change

If I run away, can I discard this curse? It says -5 in next combat. If I run away, does that count as combat?

Thanks,
John

It doesn't say "-5 in the next combat you win." The idea of a curse is t possibly cost you something. In this case it costs you a combat.

What if the -5 didn't make me lose / run away? If I was going to run away anyway, then I can discard it?

You can only run away if you're losing. If you run away, you were in combat. Curse is satisfied. Discard.

Not exactly a "rules" question, but ... we've been keeping the Sex Change card out of the deck after it's deployed; it sticks to the player like the Chicken On Your Head.

It's occurred to us, though, that it might be interesting if the sex change card could come up multiple times during a long game. (We're playing with just the original Munchkin cards so far.)

Does anybody else shuffle the Sex Change card back into the deck? Or would that be just wrong, wrong wrong?

I usually let the cursed player keep the card until his next combat, then I discard it.

Anytime you enter a combat, even if it is for the briefest of moments, counts as your next combat. Once that combat is resolved in any way the Curse no longer affects you.

The rules actually demand that it be played that way:

Ah, got it. So Bone(tm)'s way is the way to go. Thanks Erik, and thanks Bone(tm)!
