Paint-it-Pink Blog
Well, three years have flown by since I started writing my blog.

Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
I've posted pictures up on my blog of my new Pan Euro force I've been working on. A surprising amount of work to get these done, link to my blog here:
http://panther6actual.blogspot.co.uk...rangere-t.html I'm helping to run the OGRE demo game at Dragonmeet on the 1st of December, which is held in the Kensington town hall, London. If you can make it come and say hi? |
Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Beautiful! Love the mods to the CP. Okay, what is the big GEV with the bubble canopy?
|
Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
It's a Paranoia transbot for investigators from Grenadier Models, re-tasked as a mobile GEV CP

Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Hi Ash, A Mk4? You don't see them everyday! Good job on the Pan-euro camo scheme. I debating with repainting my Ogre stuff from 20 years ago but so far I'm way too slack. Back then I thought bright red and gold was neat-o! Today, not so much....
Have fun at the upcoming con! C'ya, Charles |
Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Well i waited a long time for the Mk4, as I said I was owed a special favour.
I'm glad you liked the Pan Euro colour scheme. I had one person said it hated it on another forum, but he did concede that it did its job of making the units unrecognisable. I of course think the scheme looks nice, but there again I would. ;-) |
Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Got my Pan Euro infantry painted for the Dragonmeet OGRE demo game on the 1st of December, link:

Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Wow, love your paint jobs. I've had to have my son do mine. I'm just not that good.

Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Thank you. Its only taken me 35 years of practice to get this good, which is not meant to be a jab, just a reflection of OMG it took me 35 years to learn how to paint like that.

Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
I've been gaming for over 40 years and still have the worst ability to paint.

Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
For those of you who don't follow my blog and therefore won't have picked up on my recent post, I've started a new blog on writing. I'm getting near tot he end of the first draft of an SF novel titled Bad Dog. Pitch line: Starship Troopers meets ground Hog Day. Link here:
http://ashleyrpollard.blogspot.co.uk/ More to come, as the main focus of my blogging is going to be about promoting myself as a writer. Long term plan foreseen to take several years, but its got to be done. Pitch line for the blog: SF wargame designer and scenario writer's quest to write military SF. |
Re: Paint-it-Pink Blog
Just a couple of links to my blogs that people might find interesting. The first is a post on statistics that is relevant to rolling dice.
http://panther6actual.blogspot.co.uk...isticians.html The next link is for all you fans of Daleks, which is all of you right? http://panther6actual.blogspot.co.uk...omparison.html Just so people who read this know, I'm planning on using this thread to talk and showcase stuff that is not directly connected to my love of Ogre miniatures, and therefore use my other thread exclusively for Ogre miniatures. So you might also get links to posts on my writing blog of films and books I've been reading recently too. That reminds me, Ancillary Justice is a great debut novel from Ann Leckie, which you read about here: http://ashleyrpollard.blogspot.co.uk...y-justice.html And another book, Chris Moriarty's Ghost Spin that was a kick ass high concept story here: http://ashleyrpollard.blogspot.co.uk...host-spin.html Enjoy, and as always leave comments here, or on my blog, and remember it's good to talk, because talking helps builds communities. I've also just realised that this thread would be better off in the Geek Culture forum and wonder if it can be moved there? |
