Problems with the Floating Nose
 

I was playing a munchkin game when player 'A' kicked down the door and encountered the floating nose. Player 'A' bribed the floating nose to go away. Now player 'A' claims that he can loot the room. In the rules it says that you only need to find a monster, not fight it, and then you can't look for trouble or loot the room! Is player 'A' allowed to loot the room!?

No. You can loot the room if you didn't ENCOUNTER a monster. If you kicked down the door and found a monster, you can no longer loot the room, regardless of how you dealt with it.
