Robot Repair Robot

Would their be a point cost for a large robot, built as an NPC, to have a built in Minifac, other than an Acessory perk?

Can you do anything with it any other character couldn't by purchasing a Minifac and hauling it around everywhere? If not, then it *is* just an Accessory, though I do tend to make you pay for expensive Accessories out of starting cash, so some level of Wealth may also be required, and a Minifac is heavy enough I might consider charging you for enough Payload to carry it too.

Payload to carry it, and money to buy it seems enough.

There doesn't need* to be a point cost for anything that NPCs do (unless it's an Ally or something).

*Which, is not to say that it can't be either.

For large accessories I would generally charge based on the amount of Payload required to carry around the accessory plus the amount of wealth or signature gear required to buy the item. Other than that, assuming minifacs are available in the setting and the robot's minifac has no special properties, no other prices.

It rubs me the wrong way to make it just a 1 CP Perk, but thinking some more about it, at the TL where a brief-case-sized minifac makes sense, it should merely be a Perk.

What are you planning on using it for? If it's used for "creating items from components" then it's an Accessory.

The title of the post suggests that it might be used to justify other powers integral to the Robot, such as removing a Maintenance requirement, adding Healing advantages like Regeneration, or even stuff like Gizmo or Gadgeteer.

If that's the case, wouldn't you need to buy the relevant advantages? It seems much like the difference between Accessory: Nightvision Camera and having multiple levels of Night Vision.

Despite the title, there was no plan to use a minifac as an excuse for additional powers along the lines of regeneration and such. My intention with this build is to have a robot that can do field repairs and maintenance on other robots, including the ability to machine new parts as needed.
