An Alternative Idea on Impudites

This isn't much of a change, but I felt that their Dissonance condition, while making SOME sense to me, needed a bit of bolstering.

Essentially, Impudites don't regenerate Essence for whatever reason. Mercurians are the least Heavenly of Choirs, implying they are less tightly woven to the Symphony

Impudites are the least Infernal of Demons and their connection to the Symphony has gotten so loose that they just can't summon it themselves. (Rites still work, of course).

This ties in to their Resonance and Dissonancne condition. So of course they are very interested in keeping humans around...

(I won't go into how most Impudites are probably pro-life...)

"Mercurians got it all wrong. They'll look at you and wonder about how you get along with your wife, your cousin, that salesman you met in Shaboygan. They worry about all of that.

But I've seen the light. The only important relationship you have is the one with me...

Newly Minted Impudite.

Ooh!

Luvs it! It would certainly be another reason why they get Diss for killing humans.

Heh. In an early version of the rules, no one regenerated Essence daily; it was strictly via Rites and such, or it was the equivalent of character points. Impudites had a serious advantage in the Essence burn rate under those conditions.

Finding some MacGuffin reason to disable everyone's daily Essence might be an entertaining session or three, if you've got an Impudite PC feeling unloved, too...
