Kyujutsu and Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack)

Hi, I have a question about Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack), from the Kyujutsu style.

Kyujutsu has Targeted Attack (Bow Shot/Face), and the Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack) perk.
If you get the perk, can you get any Targeted Attack for any weapon, or are you limited to Targeted Attack (Any Weapon, Used in Any Way, Any Technique/Face)?

It's meant to allow you to buy Targeted Attack (Bow Shot/location) for whatever location you want, on the idea that some samurai will learn to target other locations than the face.

So, just to check, this is a perk about getting different training from the standard for the school that's teaching you?

More like a perk allowing you to add additional Targeted Attacks over and above the one you learn as part of the style.

I thought Technique Adaptation was meant for you to learn a technique your style taught your for one weapon for any weapon you might want to use it with.
Like Technique Adaptation (Disarm) allows you to learn Disarm for any weapon.
The idea that Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack) is meant for you to take TA for any location instead of any weapon seems to work in the opposite way compared to Technique Adaptation for any other technique.

Re: Kyujutsu and Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack)

From my reading of both the perk and the style just now I would say its use is to allow you to train any weapon for Targeted Attack.
The style is with the bow but teaches you to target the face as that is usually unarmored.
The perk allows you to adapt that aiming training to other weapons if you spend enough time at it. So you have to put at least 1 point in another weapon skill and then work on the technique for it.
However it is not an uber tactic and you would have to buy each TA technique for location and weapon that you wanted.

Sounds good to me. TA (eyes) for a ranged weapon of your choice? Sign me up.
Kyujutsu already comes very cheap too. Riding? You probably want it anyway. Hands-free riding? Same thing. Bow? Probably. TA (bow/face) ain't bad. You are only gonna "waste" 2 pts for the style familiarity and technique adaptation perks.

If that's how you want to run it, sure, go ahead. But I'm telling you how the style designer (me) intended that perk to do for that style.

Allowing Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack) to allow attacks to the Face from other weapons doesn't fit the style; allowing it to let you expand your Targeted Attack (Bow Shot) choices is. Again, you can do what you like, but that's the effect I was going for and I believe it best fits the legends and history of the actual style.

Are you saying you can take:
Targeted Attack (Bow/Face)-14
and Technique Adaptation (Targeted Attack (Bow/Vitals))
and then attack the Vitals as though you had Targeted Attack (That Location)-14, without taking the Technique?

No, it just lets you buy it.
