can't use quickview
Hi All,
I don't have a printer on my computer. Per the instructions that come up when it tells me I can't use quick view it recommends I download a printer driver and even suggests one. Unfortunately it doesn't tell me where to put it so GCA will like it and give me back quick view. Does anyone have a simple way to figure out where to put the printer driver? Or heck just know where to put it. I'm using Win XP |
Re: can't use quickview
I usually recommend something like CutePDF. It will install a "printer" driver that will allow GCA to work. Newer versions of Windows have something functionally identical preinstalled, though it's for Microsoft's XPS format.

+1. QuickView requires that you install a printer driver, not just download it. The best way to install a printer driver if you don't have a printer is to get a PDF Virtual Printer, which is useful in it's own right (since you can then print anything as a PDF if you want) plus it also fixes the QuickView issues.

hmm.
I already have a print to PDF program. I wonder why GCA doesn't like it. thanks for the suggestions maybe I should try another PDF program. |

What do you have set as your default printer?

Re: can't use quickview
Hi, thanks to all.
I went to my default printer and changed it from the print to pdf program I have to the old printer no longer hooked up to my computer and now quickview works fine. It means I have to manually select my print to pdf program whenever I want to use it but I like having quickview more than I like that convenience. |
