Reloaded Die

Hey, I have a question regarding the reloaded die that I need some help with.

I was playing a game of Munchkin earlier and was required to roll a die at the beginning of combat. After i rolled, my friend played a reloaded die card and changed the die to a 6. I then wanted to play a reloaded die of my own to change it to another number. My friend claimed that I could not use it because I was the person who originally rolled the die. I believe that I should be able to use it since it says I can use it to overturn a (re)loaded die, and that his act of changing the die value counts as the "roll" that I want to change.

I would really appreciate it if someone could clarify who was right in this situation. Thank you.

You can't play reloaded die on your self. Reloaded die affects another's player roll. Only loaded die could help you on a situation like this...

I'm curious as to the mods' ruling on this, since the Reloaded die card specifically states that it can be used to modify a roll changed with a Loaded or Reloaded die.

The first instruction is to play the card when someone else rolls a die, and that isn't changed by any other text on the card. However, that doesn't mean that another player couldn't throw their hat in the ring, so to speak, in order to influence the roll to his or her choice with a Reloaded Die. The player who rolled the die may only use Loaded Die. Either way, the card allows for players with the correct cards to have an effect on the die roll.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

It never came up at my games so far, but it's good to know beforehand...
