Also: I can guess the problems between these kids and the City Watch, but what's up with the priestesses?

Is that correct?

Pretty much. Kids with families will have already worked at their family business, even if it's only farming, and have some proof of their willingness and ability to learn. Street kids usually end up as unskilled labor, criminals, or conscripts.

As for problems, the first thing people will ask is how you expect tools and clothes to not vanish. Your plan suggests at the very least a permanent staff. They will also point out that the street kids already have their own culture and hierarchy... and it's not based on generosity and enlightened leadership.

The priestesses of Tuufa, wanting to haul them off to the temple orphanage. As Nicky says, "They got lotsa rules there. I don't do rules so good."

No, it's based on self-interest. Thing is, that self-interest has some foresight. Nicky's enforcement of the rule about not stealing from clients is both what made me think this could be possible and what made me suggest the place be run by the kids themselves.

Ah. Fair enough.

Uthar I plan to sell the beastial sword and trade the 1 point for weapon bond to it for something else. Also plans to sell the the leather skirt. I don't see Rorik as a skirt wearer.... :)

How much for each (of course he will share the money he gets with the rest of the group).

As promised Pete will give you 200.00 (shillings.pennies) for the Bestial sword; 1.60 is the best you can muster for the skirting, so 201.60 total.

OOC: sorry guys been busy as of late.

Actually there was a -6 penalty for lighting, so you failed by 5 (pretty much everyone else did too though so don't worry about it).

I'm honestly scared of these fellows. They probably have the reputation they do for a reason. Of course the bandits that attacked us seemed fairly confident and yet we trounced them summarily.

Still, I'm worried.

If/when Rorik points it out (she's pretty much blind right now), Astrid will be all for chasing them down, though.

EDIT: Just remembered you guys fought one while I was stuck in the cold void between realities. I reread that battle and it did not make me feel better about our chances of fighting them, especially more than two.

Things seem to be going slowly just now, which suits me as I have a rare hectic week. I'll be back on form after Friday (hopefully). I can still respond at least daily, however.

H'okay.

I think we're heading south now.

Well, I was wondering about that, since only one person posted about it -- I suppose since no one has objected, I'll have to take that as consent.
