Sorry, but I have to withdrawal. Long story short, I am in the process of rebuilding my businesses entire information system that we lost in a crash two weeks ago. thought i had it up and running and it crashed again this morning. no time for a new game right now. Maybe I'll catch up with the game in a week or two.

Well, I haven't heard from Hemlock today... I'd like to give her some time, but unless I hear from her soon, I don't want to hold the rest of you guys up.
I could give her another day, and then launch the IC thread on Wednesday evening-ish. If I hear from her before then, I could delay a bit to give her more time. Unless you three (Lamech, Skullcrusher, zoncxs) would rather wait for a definite fourth, or have some reason you'd prefer to delay the launch anyway. Whaddya think? |

Character nearly ready. But don't have time to post her right now ... but after work today, I will introduce you to Alexis of Medes ... Greek Warrior, (and goddess gonna-be). Only hurdle is deciding what equipment to give her ... you said very little in the way of magic ... don't wanna claim too many and put you off, but dont wanna claim too few and short change myself either ... |

As stated at the beginning, there are some particular rules about magic in the place you'll be going. There may be a lot of it, but it is more ephemeral than standard GURPS magic -- spell-casting is fine, but making spells permanent on items doesn't work so well. Enchantments on items will not survive the transition to the new reality, so best not to bother with them. Some alchemical concoctions or potions might get through unscathed, but I wouldn't bet anything important on it. I gave a fairly generous CP allowance because I intend for your characters to be veteran adventurers at the start. I probably should have made it more clear at the start of the thread that this won't be a "DF" style game, but a sort of grittier heroic fantasy campaign.... hm, still don't know if that made sense :P |
