Supers perks

I am making a super with a "Body of water". I am using GCA and it gave me the perks of "water cannon" and "water jet". How do these work? How is range and damage calculated? Are these automatic benefits of having a body of water or do I need to buy these as attacks separately?

Re: Supers perks

There is a water cannon build in Powers (and another in DF9) but those are not perks.

If they are perks, they are accessory perks (PU2,p10).
But those seem far too powerful accessory perk, especially the water cannon !

Which template gave you this ? an official one ?

Check the trait - everything official entered into GCA should have a page number. Go find the book it's in and look it up :)

Re: Supers perks

OK

I found these "body of" as meta-traits in 4e characters.

Body of Air 36 points
Body of Earth 175 points
Body of Fire 6 points
Body of Ice 99 points
Body of Metal 175 points
Body of Stone 145 points
Body of Water 99 points

That is all well and good.

But Body of Fire is 6 points, while body of water is 175 points.

I think they should have tried to balance these out a bit more. I would be more afraid of Fire guy than Water Woman.

I was surprised by Body of Fire too, but that ST 0 is a big deal.

What does point cost have to do with being afraid?

Especially when, for example, terror costs 15ish points and invisibility 40+. In that case you would literally be more afraid.

The point costs need to reflect the 'general' utility/disutility of the advantages. That is balance not making them all cost the same.

Somethings end up being surprisingly more or less expensive than you would first think.

Re: Supers perks

By "Afraid" I meant that figuratively as in meeting that person in combat. I did not mean anything character related like fright checks.

A fire guy is way more bad ass than a water guy. Sorry. But it just is.

Oh yeah, who would win in a fight? :P

Hint: water puts out fire.

The guy with all the allies.... you know not the one burning all the crops, forest, and thatched roof cottages.

Are you seriously asking what happens when you put fire vs water?

It's kinda obvious that water have a huge advantage, not because of the points, because of the ability to control fire.

obviously the water elephant because it would use it's big feet to stamp out the fire whale...

And? What's that got to do with the price of Trampling damage in china?

Invertebrate is not the same as "has no feet"

Yes, that was my point. I was being facetious.

So why isn't it included into Body of Fire or Boyd of Air? Does it count as double-dipping with ST 0? What about ST 1?

How does the Body of Fire move with ST 0?
