Question about situation

Hi everyone.
I have two questions (sorry, I'm playing in Russian version, so I might mix card's names).
1) Here's my situation:
I have necrophobia (curse that makes you run from undead monsters) on me. I fight against monster, ask for help, girl says she would help me. We kill monster, but then other player plays card which resurrects last monster in discard as undead and that monster joins the fight. Problem is that last monster is Amazon (doesn't fight with girls, but give some treasure instead). What should we have done here? Run because of my curse, or discard Amazon because of girl helping me?
2) Can you explain me (example would be perfect) what is the difference between "old" Cleric resurrection and "new" one.

Thank you.

It's possible that I'm not feeling overly generous today, but I'd say your Curse overrides everything else and the combat is over and you and your helper must run.

In reality, there is no difference. However, the text is written so as to clearly state that you may resurrect more than one card if you are drawing more than one card face up. To do so, you must however determine how many cards you are going to resurrect first, take that many from the appropriate discard pile, then discard the same amount from your hand (discarding only those cards you had prior to drawing). So, some examples:
  1. A Cleric is kicking down the door and has 3 cards in his hand. At this time, he could normally take one-face up card from the Door deck, so he could resurrect the top discard from the Door discards, then discard one of the cards he already had in his hand.
  2. In an epic game, an epic Cleric is kicking down the door and he has 3 cards in his hand. He may resurrect both cards for kicking down the door, or just one, but he must decide which card and how many he's going to resurrect first. If he draws both, that's fine, and then he must discard 2 of the 3 cards he already had in his hand.
  3. A cleric gets help in combat and kills a Monster worth 5 Treasures. He also has 3 cards in his hand. The Cleric may choose to draw up to 3 of the 5 Treasures from the Treasure discard pile, but he must decide how many cards he is going to resurrect before resurrecting any, draw those cards, then discard the appropriate amount of cards from the orignal 3 that he had in his hand.
