What happens if the owner of the Munchkinomicon gets cursed with Bibliophobia?

Can he draw spells? (we decided on "yes")
Does he get +5? (we decided on "no")

Were we correct?

If I remember bibliophobia correctly, it states that you can't use any items that end in "icon", which would include the Munchkinomicon. So I think you can't use it. But the spells it grants are not using the book, they are the book using you, as it were. Or in more rulesy terms, one does not have to use the book to have it whisper a spell to you.

So I would speculate that you had it right. That's my guess, but wait for an officially sanctioned reply to be sure.

The rules for Munchkinomicon state that its evil supersedes Bibliophobia.
