Space Amazon Bad Stuff
I am trying to make sure I understand the bad stuff on the Space Amazon in Star Munchkin.
The munchkinly foe I was playing was suggesting that he had the option to keep all of his items and just lose the levels (he was level 1 at the time). The argument was that you HAD to lose the items, and only if you did not have enough value in items would you lose the levels. In my reading of the card, it never give you an option.. You only lose the levels if you do not have enough value in items to discard. SO my question is - When failing to run from Space Amazon with More or Less gold worth of items, do you have the choice to go down levels and keep what you've got, or do you lose up to the stated value THEN only lose the levels if it is not enough. Thank you in advance |
Re: Space Amazon Bad Stuff
You were correct. The wording on the card is "must" and it means just that... you must give her at least X gp worth of items. If you don't have the items, then you lose the levels. Your foe can not choose to keep his items and lose the levels instead.

Though if they do not have the minimum gp, do they lose the items AND the levels, or would it be just the levels. I know he'll contest that part next ;) |
Re: Space Amazon Bad Stuff
I talked to Andrew about this. If you don't have enough items to meet the minimum gp you must lose the levels, but you don't have to also give up whatever items you do have. If you don't have enough levels to take all three levels, you take as many as you can. So, munchkins of level 4 and higher have no problem just taking the three level hit. But munchkins of level 3 or 2 would just go down to level 1 (they took as many of the level hits as they could).
Does that help? :) |
