Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
Hi guys
I've checked out all the combat maneuver help sheets I could get my hands on and was quite content with the one from The Mook for a while but finally decided that I needed to create one myself. So here is the fruit of my labour: UPDATED October 11 2017, 10:16 CET Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet 2.04 Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet 2.04 eReader Version Imperial Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet 2.04 eReader Version Metric Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet 2.04 - InDesign Source File To Do and Version History:
Spoiler:
I am glad for any comments you may have concerning the sheet. Also, should you run across an error, please let me know. Thanks to The Mook and the various others who inspired me to do this, couldn't have done it without the work you already put in it. I hope you'll like and use it! I personal got it printed in A3 format and use it for my games. Cheers Onkl |
Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
Haven't checked it for errors/omissions but the layout is fantastic. Very easy to look at and read. Thank you.

Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
This just became part of my G4E electronic library. Thank you. :)

Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
I scooped that up, too. Good work.

Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
It's a nice-looking sheet. I might suggest some kind of separator between the Maneuvers and the Combat Options, though.

Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
A super-coherent overview of Extra Effort options might also be nice. I did a search for "FP" and there are EE options in at least 2 differnt places in the PDF.

Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
Okay, I see now that it's simply split up into offensive actions and defensive actions, so it makes sense to have EE in two places, but since EE gives hefty bonuses, those options that involve EE should perhaps be highlighted in some way? It is something new players will want to be able to find easily when their characters are in big martial trouble.
edit: Same for the active defence column. Basically the widest column ought to appear last, the farthest to the right. Also, from a usability point of view, having the movement column out at the far right of the page is not good. I think it would be better to invent a shorthand for the various possible contents of the movement column (there can't be that many) and then have the movement column (taking up less horizontal space) appear before the description column. |
Re: Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet
Impressive. Have you checked out the combat cards from Steve Jackson Games? They're free.
Other resources are also available. |
