Super Munchkin Theft Ability
I had a small disagreement with a friend over the rules for the Theft ability granted in Super Munchkin.
Does that version act exactly like the Thief class ability and can't be used on somebody during their combat or yours? My friend is firmly convinced that he can and is the owner of the Super game we play so I let it go, but considering he has won 3 games from using it to steal during his or his victim's combat I would like to know the official ruling. Thank you in advance for any answers. |
Re: Super Munchkin Theft Ability
You can't steal from someone who is in combat, nor while in combat yourself.

Thank you very much. I can now laugh at his helplessness when he tries that again.

Re: Super Munchkin Theft Ability
it last line under META-ABILITIES under theft. it said no stealing during combat

Re: Super Munchkin Theft Ability
I feel kind of stupid now because I can't find the place where that last line with Meta-Abilities is. I've been doing forum searches, looking through all the download-able rule files, checking the FAQ and the errata even and can't find it.
If you can point me in the right direction so I don't have to ask what are probably stupid questions, it would be very much appreciated. |
Re: Super Munchkin Theft Ability
If you're looking at the downloadable rules, you should be able to see it. It's the last sentence in the section about Theft. Unfortunately, I can't make you see it through my computer, but I can tell you that I looked just to make sure earlier today and it's right there in the old and the new rules, too.

One last time thank you very much. I don't know how I kept missing it though...

Re: Super Munchkin Theft Ability
Hi,
How many times can theft be done in one turn? For eg, If a thief has 4 cards, can he do theft 4 times in one round? |
Re: Super Munchkin Theft Ability
He is only limited by the number of cards he has to discard and the number of cards there are to steal. Note that those with a Theft Power can discard cards in play to power the theft too, so they can even discard cards they just stole to steal other cards if they are so inclined.
